Pepeo is a fundraising platform developed by Brainverse Technologies. It enables individuals and groups to raise funds seamlessly, particularly in Kenya, leveraging the M-Pesa ecosystem for financial transactions. Whether for personal needs, community projects, or emergencies, Pepeo simplifies the fundraising process by providing a secure, transparent, and efficient platform.
2. How do I Start Using Pepeo?
To start using Pepeo:
- Visit the Pepeo website or download the Pepeo app.
- Register by creating an account using your personal details and M-Pesa-linked phone number.
- Once registered, you can initiate your own fundraiser.
3. How do I start a Fundraiser?
Starting a fundraiser on Pepeo is straightforward:
- Log in to your Pepeo account.
- Click on “Start a Fundraiser” on the homepage.
- Provide details about your fundraiser, such as the purpose, target amount, and duration.
- Add a compelling description.
- Share the fundraiser link with your networks to begin receiving contributions.
4. How safe is my money with Pepeo?
Pepeo prioritizes security and transparency:
- All funds are stored in a secure escrow account until you withdraw them.
- The platform uses secure payment gateways and encryption to protect financial transactions.
- Regular monitoring and anti-fraud measures are in place to ensure the safety of all funds.
5. How can I withdraw my money from Pepeo?
Withdrawing money from Pepeo is simple:
- Log in to your Pepeo account.
- Navigate to your fundraiser dashboard.
- Select “Withdraw Funds.”
- You need to verify your account before withdrawing funds, you can choose to verify via phone
number or email. - You can withdraw contribution funds in full or in part. Indicate the withdrawal Purpose.
- Enter your preferred amount and it will be sent to the phone number you indicated during account
creation, and confirm the transaction.
6. How much are Pepeo charges?
Pepeo charges a 3% platform fee on each fundraiser to sustain its services. This fee will be displayed on the platform before any transaction.
7. How much does it cost to send a group message to all contributors within a fundraiser?
The cost of sending group messages to contributors is KES 2. Typically, this is calculated based on the number of contributors and the SMS rates.
8. Will Pepeo ever charge my fundraiser fees when sending the money?
Pepeo does not charge additional fees when transferring funds from the Giver Mpesa to your account. However, When using the Flutterwave payment option, there will be an additional 2.9% transactional charges added to the Give amount.

Illegal Activities
Fundraisers that promote or involve any form of unlawful activity, including but not limited to money laundering, fraud, or support for criminal enterprises.
Hate Speech & Discrimination
Campaigns that promote hate, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Exploitation or Abuse
Fundraisers that exploit vulnerable individuals or groups, including but not limited to campaigns that involve human trafficking, child labor, or any form of abuse.
Prohibited Products & Services
Fundraisers promoting the sale or distribution of prohibited items, such as illicit drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or other restricted materials.
Misinformation or Deception
Campaigns that provide false, misleading, or deceptive information to donors about the purpose or use of funds.
Political Fundraising
Campaigns aimed at raising funds for political candidates, parties, or campaigns, unless explicitly permitted by applicable laws and Pepeo Africa’s guidelines.
Sexual Content
Campaigns that include or promote sexually explicit content, adult services, or pornography.
Other Restricted Activities
Any other fundraisers that violate local, national, or international laws, or Pepeo.africa’s terms of service.
